In January 2021, the series was renewed for a second season, which is set to premiere on March 25, 2022.
Why is Bridgerton is so popular? Maybe Bridgerton’s prosperity can be ascribed somewhat to the exceptional occasions we live in. The show showed up toward the finish of an exceptionally intense year, offering a lavish and lathery break to a touch-starved, segregated crowd that, on account of stay-at-home requests,
was observing more TV than any time in recent memory

The Gist: Valeria Férriz Henares (Diana Gómez) is trying to write her first novel, having gotten the contract to write it after winning a young writer’s award the previous year. She’s extended the deadline more than once, and now she has to finish the first portion of it in a week, and she’s barely started. To help make ends meet, she’s up for a security guard position at a museum, and her photographer husband Adrian (Ibrahim Al Shami) is eager for her to get the job, mostly to help them out financially, but also so Valeria gets out of her own head.

As we see a montage of Valeria trying and failing to find inspiration and basically go through the usual distractions, she ends up calling her friends and leaving a “podcast,” as one of them called her lengthy message. Her longtime friends have their own things to deal with. Lola (Silma López) is dating a married man named Sergio (Aitor Luna), and she’s fine with it because it’s “exciting.” Carmen (Paula Malia) has a crush on a handsome man in her office named Borja (Juanlu González), but is so chicken to talk to him that she tries to plan her exit to coincide with his so they can “run into” each other. Nerea (Teresa Riott) still lives with her parents while she’s paying them back for her master’s degree; she also works for them. Oh, and she hasn’t come out to them either.

But they’re all supportive of Valeria, trying to dissuade her from buying into impostor syndrome being the reason for her writer’s block. Lola invites them to a party thrown by her friend Victor (Maxi Iglesias). But first, Valeria has to deal with the interview; she finds out to her dismay that the position is full time, with some weekend and holiday work. That would help out financially, of course, but she feels that would all but kill the novel she’s trying to complete. But Adri, who just found out that he’s being laid off from the studio where he works, really needs this gig to come through for his wife. Their relationship in general has been on the distant side, and these job problems haven’t helped.

Sex Life

“Sex/Life,” Netflix’s new series about marital dissatisfaction and monogamy, sets out to ask several big questions. By the end, it’s only proved one thing to the viewer’s satisfaction: That it takes hard work to pull off satisfying trash.

Inspired by the book “44 Chapters About 4 Men” by BB Easton and created by Stacy Rukeyser, “Sex/Life” is at least at first organized around the diary kept by Billie Connelly (Sarah Shahi). Billie, a suburban wife and mom with an academic background in psychology, is happy enough with her life and with her husband (Mike Vogel). But she can’t help turning over in her mind experiences with a former lover (Adam Demos), a fixture from her past who intrudes upon her present; she writes all about him in her diary. When her husband finds those writings, Billie embarks upon a journey of self-rediscovery that threatens the stability of her life and family.

The show asks its actors to challenge themselves in exactly one regard — being willing to appear on-camera nude. Even the least prudish in the audience may wonder if “Sex/Life” is demanding a bit much from its actors in this regard when it doesn’t reward them, elsewhere, with real material to play. It’s as though provocation is equivalent to having something to say: Endless shots of nude characters in intimate settings, from one-on-one sessions to a somewhat startlingly raw group sex party, are this series’ key means of communicating information, but there’s not enough on this show’s mind to justify pushing them quite so far.

I walked away from “Sex/Life” feeling sorry for the actors, who’ve been stripped naked to sell a show, but not a story. (Margaret Odette, who plays Billie’s best friend, has the easiest time of it among the four leads.) Billie’s concerns feel faintly sketched — losing oneself in parenthood is absolutely a real phenomenon. But “Sex/Life” resorts to the broadest sorts of Stepford clichés in depicting Billie’s neighbors and communicating her discontentment, suggesting that the writers don’t have a handle on its material. In order to make Billie’s story resonate, a series not equipped to delve further into character simply throws more situation at her. Shahi, a veteran actor, has little to play, instead reacting against situations that grow increasingly airless, bizarre, and removed from whatever reality early episodes had set up.

“Sex/Life” doesn’t get there, getting lost in its own inability to express its ideas and failing to find any joy along the way. For a show about the basic instincts, it’s unusually removed from anything recognizably human; for a look at what it means to heedlessly seek fulfillment, it’s surprisingly sour and mean. Give the creators this much: They knew what they were doing separating the two words in the title with a slash. “Sex/Life” has plenty of the former, as if to make up for the absence, in performance or in script, of any of the latter.

“Sex/Life” premieres Friday, June 25 on Netflix.

The five Juan’s

“As Juan Williams announced on-air today, he will be leaving The Five to live in Washington, D.C., full time. We are incredibly grateful for his commitment to the show and its success over the last several years,” said Megan Albano, vp for The Five and weekend programming, in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “As we started planning The Five’s return to its New York City studio at our headquarters a few months ago, Juan decided to stay in Washington, D.C., permanently. We accommodated his request, understanding and appreciating his desire to remain closer to his family and recognizing that a remote co-hosting role on a roundtable in-studio program was not a long-term option. While we will miss his insightful contributions each night and look forward to welcoming him on set whenever he’s in New York, we are pleased to have him continue his longtime role as a senior political analyst with Fox News Media.”

The show features a rotating cast of co-hosts from across Fox’s lineup (including regulars Dana Perino, Greg Gutfeld and Jesse Watters), discussing the day’s political stories in a freewheeling format.

 Blood of jesus

The phrase “blood of Christ” is used several times in the New Testament and is the expression of the sacrificial death and full atoning work of Jesus on our behalf. References to the Savior’s blood include the reality that He literally bled on the cross, but more significantly that He bled and died for sinners. The blood of Christ has the power to atone for an infinite number of sins committed by an infinite number of people throughout the ages, and all whose faith rests in that blood will be saved.

The reality of the blood of Christ as the means of atonement for sin has its origin in the Mosaic Law. Once a year, the priest was to make an offering of the blood of animals on the altar of the temple for the sins of the people. “In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (Hebrews 9:22). But this was a blood offering that was limited in its effectiveness, which is why it had to be offered again and again. This was a foreshadowing of the “once for all” sacrifice which Jesus offered on the cross (Hebrews 7:27). Once that sacrifice was made, there was no longer a need for the blood of bulls and goats.

The blood of Christ is the basis of the New Covenant. On the night before He went to the cross, Jesus offered the cup of wine to His disciples and said, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you” (Luke 22:20). The pouring of the wine in the cup symbolized the blood of Christ which would be poured out for all who would ever believe in Him. When He shed His blood on the cross, He did away with the Old Covenant requirement for the continual sacrifices of animals. Their blood was not sufficient to cover the sins of the people, except on a temporary basis, because sin against a holy and infinite God requires a holy and infinite sacrifice. “But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins” (Hebrews 10:3). While the blood of bulls and goats were a “reminder” of sin, “the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect” (1 Peter 1:19) paid in full the debt of sin we owe to God, and we need no further sacrifices for sin. Jesus said, “It is finished” as He was dying, and He meant just that—the entire work of redemption was completed forever, “having obtained eternal redemption” for us (Hebrews 9:12).

Not only does the blood of Christ redeem believers from sin and eternal punishment, but “His blood will make our consciences pure from useless acts so we may serve the living God” (Hebrews 9:14 NCV). This means that not only are we now free from having to offer sacrifices which are “useless” to obtain salvation, but we are free from having to rely on worthless and unproductive works of the flesh to please God. Because the blood of Christ has redeemed us, we are now new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and by His blood we are freed from sin to serve the living God, to glorify Him, and to enjoy Him forever.

Elite explores concepts and themes associated with teen dramas, but also features more progressive issues and other sides to its clichés. These include many diverse sexual themes. In May 2021, Netflix announced #EliteWeek, a week-long special of short episodes that act as a prelude to the fourth season titled Elite: Short Stories. The stories are set to “expand the Elite universe.” They are not a spin-off show, but more like vignettes to bridge content that lead up to the fourth season; there are four stories, each consisting of three short episodes. The stories take place during the summer before the start of the new year in Las Encinas. In the four stories, different plots of some of the most veteran students of Las Encinas and newer ones will be explored, revealing what they have been up to in the last summer before starting their new school year.
